Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest

This site may be free, but we couldn't confirm it. Check the official page before you go. Campground · USDA Forest Service · Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest There is no longer a Maples campground north of the Snowbasin Ski Resort. All picnic tables, firerings and restrooms have been removed. The public may still camp in the area, but must camp away from the trail that goes through the site. All access is walk-ins/bicycles/horses only, no motor vehicles, it is approximately 1/2 mile from the gate. The gate just off the pavement at the lower Snowbasin parking lot is the gravel trail/road to the area. Rules: Access is permitted for walk-ins, bicycles, and horses. No motor vehicles. Fire is not restricted but because of the potential fire in trees near the old fire rings, camp fires are not recommended.
