Shared by @public_lands (Public Lands)

Coronado National Forest

Campground · USDA Forest Service · Coronado National Forest Fees: There are 2 group use sites available. Fees for each are $25 plus $5 per vehicle. Payable with cash or check. Season: April 15 to November 14 Reservations: Reservations for Treasure Park East and Treasure Park North can be made at Recreation.gov. Treasure Park North sits along the scenic Swift Trail in southern Arizona. The picturesque mountain meadow setting provides an escape from the desert heat and opportunities for viewing wildlife and wildflowers, as well as group camping, hiking, mountain biking and picnicking. The location boasts an interesting history. Legend has it that a treasure of stolen gold and silver was buried here by a band of outlaws in the 1850s. They reportedly marked the site with a triangle formed by three colored granite stones, though no buried treasure was ever found.
