Campground · USDA Forest Service · Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest Fees: $15/Night for single unit plus $5 per additional vehicle. (2 vehicles per site maximum) Season: May Status: none Reservations: First Come First Served. Located near the confluence of War Creek and the Twisp River, this forested campground has two sections. One section stretches along the seasonal War Creek and has long parking aprons that are well-suited to recreational vehicles. The sounds of Twisp River can be heard in the distance. There are a few sites in a small grassy meadow. Mature Douglas fir provide ample shade to most campsites. The other section is small and just off the roadway. It is best suited for smaller vehicles as well as tent campers. A thick middle and understory in both sections provide good privacy between some sites. There are trailheads nearby. Rattlesnakes occasionally seen in the area. Rules: Maximum stay limit is 14 days. Official page: https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/okawen/recarea/?recid=59485 Source: USDA Forest Service.
